First, this is my second attempt at doing this entry as I can not read Korean and it has caused some difficulties....
So, adam and I have clearly made it to Korea. Everything was fine. We are currently at the University that we will be teaching at. We spent the our first day here roaming the streets to Seoul. The picture above is of the pallace we visited. This is a photo of the changing of the guards. It was neat, but SO hot walking around. I have been sweating my butt off for the last 3 days of my life.....
After the pallace we decided to go to an area of town called Insadong. It is the cultural area of town. We decided to eat at a restaurant where a lot of business men were eating, assuming the food was good. Well, it probably is IF you know how to order. We had to point at pictures to order. I thought I was getting a salad, and Adam thought he got a meat stir fry. When Adam's meal came, I seriously thought it was going to eat him. I think it was fish brain. It was hilarious. The look on his face was awesome. We have a picture however due to the Korean set up of the computer, I don't know how to put more than one picture on the blog. I will try to add it below. I made good fun of Adam for his meal and thought he would be having meal envy. However, when my meal came I was sadly mistaken. It was chunks of raw fish on lettuce. Needless to say we didn't eat much (at all really) and rushed out of the restaurant. Our waitress was bowing and looking very apologetic when we left, howver I have NO idea what she was saying.
Anyway, don't worry parents we have been eating. We then went to a market after, however again due to not being able to read signs, we didn't go to the BIG market in the city, we ended up at a shoe market and were wondering what all the hype was about with this BIG market. Sadly, we went to the wrong place however we were right next to the big one.
So, that is our experiences so far. Things are great and we are looking forward to starting to teach. I know think that instead of us teaching the kids english, they need to be teaching us Korean......

C'mon, part of being adventurous is tasting a country's "authentic delicacies" isn't it? McDonald's is looking pretty good right now eh guys? Anyhow i'm looking forward to more food and other adventure stories. Good luck
